Wednesday May 05, 2021
Wednesday May 05, 2021
This week it's personal.
My daughter lied to me despite every effort I made to help her feel safe enough to tell the truth.
Because of our history, my mind created a whole host of unhelpful stories and those made it difficult for me to handle the situation well.
In this episode, I talk about the stories we tell ourselves and what to do when they're unhelpful and have the potential to cause more damage.
NOTE: This episode contains some adult language.

Ep. 59 Anxiety, Stress, Depression and Your Two Brains
Wednesday Apr 28, 2021
Wednesday Apr 28, 2021
In this episode, I talk about "Your Two Brains" and how your experience of reality is constructed.
When it comes to anxiety, stress and depression, it's useful to understand these processes in order to gain some distance and begin to observe your experiences and provide yourself with options you previously couldn't see.
Although the concepts explored here are relatively simple, the practice can be enormously challenging and often requires the help of a therapist or coach.

Wednesday Apr 14, 2021

I still experience the same pulls and the no day is completely free of triggers for me but I am freer than I have ever been and my relationship with food continues to improve.
I hope this episode helps you or someone you love to take the first steps towards freedom.
